The magician Bruno Copin has a version of the chosen card that is ejected from a glass, he uses a method in which the chosen card is controlled at the top and then puts the whole deck into a glass, and when shaking the glass the letter from above is fired. I found it interesting to comment on it here. He also has another method with invisible thread. Here is a link where he performs the effect without the invisible thread, greetings!
Hi Mr Britland. Thanks for your very interesting blog. Concerning Douglas Hook deck, i think that the Destiny deck sold by Card-Shark is almost the same idea, minus the trimmed edges of the cards. I made a research for the book by Douglas Hood, but couln't find any place where i can buy or download it (including lybrary.com). Is it a scarce book? However, thanks for so many trails to follow. Newsletter 8 - The Tricked Deck
Great stuff David. Did you get to see Fred Robinson do his rising card with stripper deck? Was it the same continual shake like the wide card rise?

Thanks David - a new edition of Cardopolis is always a treat. Fascinating history, and devious thinking! Patrick
