Stanley Collins was a very clever magician. I republished Card Conceits some 20 years ago and did a workshop at The Magic Circle based on the magic from the booklet. I was surprised as to how many "knowledgeable" members had never heard of him. Actually, I wasn't surprised at all! 😂
Another good book on Stanley Collins is Eddie Dawes' Stanley Collins: Conjurerer, Collector & Iconoclast. It contains an unpublished manuscript of Collins.
There is a Pathe film of Stanley Collin called The Shuffler. He's performing various flourishes rather than card tricks but it's well worth a watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTVIIq2foH0
Thanks for mentioning 'You Won't Believe Your Eyes" by Dave Campbell. I can't recall any other magician mentioning it and giving it the praise it deserves. It is still one of my go-to effects since it came out in the late 80s. It's truly mind blowing. Also thanks for pointing out that it is included (among other retail releases) as Beyond Belief in The Dave Campbell Legacy book. I actually thought it was a misprint that it was included in that book!
Dave Campbell's Oil & Water is another great trick and is in the book. It's also much easier to get custom cards printed today than it was back in the 80s. Definitely one to try.

Thanks, David, I'll check that out.
Hi David,
I’ve been enjoying practising your three phase version of “sheep and thieves” which was shared on the One Ahead website.
I wondered if you could finish by producing a tiny pot of mint sauce ala Roy Johnson’s Cent/scent of James Brown’s Pot of Jam trick
Good idea. I wonder if a small moo box could be made that looked like a pot of mint sauce. That might be funny.
