Happy Halloween! This issue of Cardopolis Lab looks at a card marking system that is largely forgotten. I’ve been experimenting with a different approach to it. Sleuth is an interesting card marking system with lots of potential applications. The original idea is also worth checking out because it’s so simple to apply and use.
The Joker Knows was one of my favourite tricks from Paul Curry’s book Magician’s Magic (1965). I mentioned in Cardopolis Lab 01 that it could be revised using a familiar principle. You’ll find it in this issue.
We’ll finish with a Halloween treat, an old trick I’ve dug out of the crypt. It goes back to 1976, and features the notorious vampire Count Dracula. I think I watched too many Hammer horror films and read too many Tony Shiels and Charles Cameron books in the 70s.
