Hello and welcome to Cardopolis 40. This issue we have Make The Bees Hum, a card control demonstration that looks more expert than it really is. The Muldoon Match is an easy to do but incredibly versatile method for predicting three selected cards. Drinks on the Pateo is a revised handling for a bar trick that goes back to the 1930s and was created by ‘Cedric of London.’ Then there is Cosmic Catch. The origin of this can be found in my book Deckade (1982). This is one of several variations since then.

MAKE THE BEES HUM

The back pattern on a Bee Deck provides shade for a lot of chicanery. It’s used here in a cutting the aces routine. This is one of several takes inspired by Lin Searles’ Aces Up! See Cardopolis 34. Make the Bees Hum is not as simple as the Searles trick, but the tricky stuff is done on the offbeat and the routine has an ending that gives the otherwise predictable process of finding aces a twist.
